I’ll admit it: math terrified me in school. I’m still not great at a lot of it, and that’s exactly why I love the tools in this session. These are easy-to-use solutions that can help every student feel a little more confident, whether you’re a math teacher or just support one. I’ll show you how Diffit and TeachShare can create and scaffold math practice, including worksheets you already have; how Snorkl lets students explain their thinking and get instant feedback; how Gemini can walk a student through a problem step by step; and how Equatio lets students speak, draw, or type math and even hear it read aloud.
We’ll also look at quizzing tools with built-in math keyboards, like Scriblit, Wayground, and Formative, so students can show what they know without fighting the keyboard. And since new math tools pop up all the time, don’t be surprised if I toss in a fresh find or two I discovered along the way. You know the math. I’ll show you the tools that can help every student believe they can do it too.
Optional shorter description: Leslie Fisher, a former math-phobic student, shares easy-to-use math tools she wishes she’d had in school, from Diffit, TeachShare, and Snorkl to quizzing tools with built-in math keyboards.
